The Bazaar Collection

The Bazaar Collection was created for one of my favorite things about counted canvas: texture. From a distance, the twelve tiles form a unified geometric composition. Up close, every section reveals something different — smooth and raised stitches, areas of open canvas, cotton, variegated threads, ribbons, and metallic accents.

The design is worked as twelve 48 × 48-thread tiles arranged in a 3 × 4 layout. The tiles meet directly, so the finished piece reads as one continuous panel while each tile remains a small design of its own.

The PDF includes the complete charts, materials and tools, general working instructions, stitch diagrams, detailed step-by-step instructions for the more complex elements of the design, and instructions for the gold outlining that brings the collection together.

The model was stitched on 18-count Zweigart Mono Canvas in Sandstone using a mix of DMC cottons, Caron Watercolours, Rainbow Gallery threads, ribbons, and Japan Gold.
